Our world has constantly changing regardless of the circumstances, but with the worlds response to Covid-19 we are seeing a new way of life that no one expected. With people out of work and children out of school, we wanted to give back even if in the simplest form.
As a company that primarily works out of town, we make sure we don't forget about the little town that started it all. The closing of schools and daycares in the area has caused an uprooting of routine for many people. We wanted to make sure the children in the area were using their creative minds for something outside of school. At the end of April RHL Companies put together flower pots for local children in our community. In each flower pot we put mulch from our mulch yard, potting soil, and Sunflower seeds so that the kids could watch their hard work grow into something special. Besides giving them seeds so they could have a hands on gardening experience, we supplied them with paint and paint brushes to paint their pots. Once we ran out of flower pots, we gave it a few
days and posted a status on Facebook asking everyone to show off their final projects. A lot of great artwork was shown! We picked a random name from a hat and then provided that family with more crafts for the kids to do while they are out of school. We wanted to give back to the community that has given us so much. We wanted to make sure that these kids where being supplied with the tools they needed to have a fun learning experience that was not school related. This little project was just a small way to give back to the community that has given us so much.
