This pipeline replaces a portion of Rochester Gas & Electric’s existing Certified Main-1 (CM-1) pipeline that was installed in 1950 and can no longer serve in the capacity that is needed to meet public need in the area due to age and the antiquated construction practices that were used for its installation.
